Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account or using the Pawhood platform ("Service"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. The Pawhood service

Pawhood is a platform that helps dog owners in South Africa discover dog-friendly venues, parks, events and services. Listings are curated by Pawhood administrators. We do not guarantee that any listed venue maintains its dog-friendly policy and recommend confirming with venues directly before visiting.

3. Your account

• You must be 18 years or older to create an account
• You are responsible for keeping your password secure
• You are responsible for all activity on your account
• You must provide accurate information when registering
• One account per person — multiple accounts are not permitted

4. Membership and payments

Pawhood offers a free tier and a paid membership tier. Membership benefits include ad-free browsing, saving favourite places, RSVP to events and exclusive member deals.

• Membership fees are billed monthly and processed by PayFast
• Fees are subject to change with reasonable notice
• You may cancel your membership at any time by contacting us at hello@pawhood.co.za
• Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis

5. User content and reviews

When you submit a review or rating, you grant Pawhood a non-exclusive licence to display that content. You agree not to submit:

• False, misleading or defamatory content
• Content that infringes any third-party rights
• Spam, promotional content or hate speech

Pawhood reserves the right to remove any content that violates these terms.

6. Listings accuracy

While we strive to keep listings accurate, Pawhood does not guarantee that all information is current or correct. Venues may change their dog policies, hours or details without notice. Always verify with the venue directly before visiting.

7. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Pawhood to:

• Scrape or copy listing data without permission
• Attempt to access systems or data you are not authorised to access
• Harass other users or venue owners
• Post fake reviews or manipulate ratings

8. Limitation of liability

Pawhood is provided "as is". We are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the Service, including visits to listed venues. You use the Service at your own risk.

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you breach these terms. You may delete your account at any time by contacting hello@pawhood.co.za.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes shall be resolved in South African courts.
